2023: Creation of RN-Svyaz operator

On December 7, 2023, Rosneft announced the launch of a corporate telecom operator. The new project was called RN-Svyaz, and it was implemented by Sibintek, an internal IT integrator of Rosneft.

Within the framework of the RN-Svyaz project, Rosneft employees will be provided with cellular communications. Within a few years, Rosneft plans to develop the cellular operator to the full-MVNO model. Now MTS is participating in the project, but over time other telecom operators can also connect to it.

Rosneft launched a corporate telecom operator

In addition, with the help of an integrator, Rosneft has implemented a dedicated Private LTE (pLTE) wireless network at more than 20 NK facilities, including the rotation camp of the Bukhta Sever oil terminal on the Vostok Oil project.

Thanks to the creation of its own corporate mobile operator and the implementation of solutions based on Private LTE (pLTE) technology, the Company's remote production assets will provide high quality connections and secure data transfer, "said Yury Popov, head of IT at Rosneft.

Rosneft plans to integrate already existing and future industrial technological solutions into the new network, including those developed by Sibintek. For example, Digital Plant, Digital Field, Unified Corporate Telemetry Platform and Industrial Internet System.

It is noted that the project of the corporate mobile operator Rosneft is fully implemented on Russian equipment and is one of the elements of the ecosystem, which includes a network of data centers, a corporate operator, content delivery systems and corporate telecommunications and infrastructure services. The costs of launching a telecom company by December 7, 2023 were not disclosed.^[1]
