History
2021: Daniil Gakhov - new ICT director of North Ossetia
In early August 2021, Daniil Gakhov was appointed the new head of the RSO-Alania information technology and communications department. He replaced Alan Salbiev, who resigned in June 2021 after managing the department for almost four years. More details here.
2016: Formation of the RSO-Alania Information Technology and Communications Department
In October 2016, the Communications and Mass Communications Committee, which had previously become the Information Technology and Mass Communications Committee, was divided into two departments - the Press and Mass Communications Committee and the Information Technology and Communications Department. The history of the newly created management is in a separate article.
2014: RSO-Alania IT Committee transferred part of the functions of the Ministry of Culture
In the spring of 2014, the head of North Ossetia-Alania issued a decree amending the structure of regional executive bodies, according to which the functions of the Ministry of Culture of the Republic in the field of mass communications are transferred to the Committee on Communications and Information Technology. The RDF-Alania Communications and Information Technology Committee has thus been transformed into the Information Technology and Mass Communications Committee.
Among the tasks of the Ministry of Culture of the RSO-Alania in terms of mass communications were the development and implementation of measures aimed at implementing state policy in the field of media, press, publishing, printing, distribution of periodicals, book and other printed materials.
Other tasks related to mass communications are the organization and development of international cooperation and interaction with the subjects of the Russian Federation in this area, as well as socio-economic support for the activities of the media.
One of the first issues that the IT Committee will have to deal with in a new direction for it will be to find out the situation with a significant increase in the tariffs of the Russian Post for the delivery of newspapers to subscribers: instead of increasing the cost of delivery by 25%, it was doubled. In April 2014, the regional media wrote that as a result of such an increase in tariffs, print media in North Ossetia were on the verge of extinction.
At the April meeting of the parliamentary committee of the RSO-Alania on science, education, culture and information policy, the head of the IT committee, Soslan Dzansolov, stated that his department would carefully deal with the excess of the permissible tariff increase threshold and study the reasons for the sharp rise in price.
Parliamentarians also supported the proposal to connect the Federal Antimonopoly Committee and the prosecutor's office of the republic to study the issue of a significant increase in prices for the delivery of newspapers.
At the meeting of Deputy Chairman of the RSO-Alania Government Leonid Keselbrener with the regional media, which also took place in April 2014, where, among other things, they discussed the transfer of functions in the field of mass communications to the RSO-Alania IT committee, a number of other relevant issues were identified. Among them - a subscription campaign, mail delivery and placement of points of sale (kiosks).
2013: Criminal case against the chairman of the committee
On June 7, 2013, the prosecutor's office of North Ossetia announced the establishment of a criminal case against the chairman of the RSO-Alania Committee on Communications and Information Technologies Soslan Dzansolov under Part 2 of Art. 285 of the Criminal Code (abuse of power by a person holding a public position of a subject of the Russian Federation). For the committee itself, the news of this was "a complete surprise." 2013:_.D0.A3.D0.B3.D0.BE.D0.BB.D0.BE.D0.B2.D0.BD.D0.BE.D0.B5_.D0.B4.D0.BB.D0.BE/Read more
