2024: The first Russian system for testing antennas has been developed

Radioline has developed an antenna testing system that has no analogues in Russia. This was announced in January 2024 by the Minister of the Government of Moscow, head of the Department of Investment and Industrial Policy, which is part of the Complex of Economic Policy and Property and Land Relations of the capital, Vladislav Ovchinsky.

According to him, the new technology allows testing antennas using a collimator measurement method. It makes it possible to conduct research directly at production using a special device - a collimator, without the need for field testing.

Radioline has developed an antenna testing system

The line of collimating complexes developed by Radiolain includes a system for testing antennas, built on the basis of a typical sea container. Its main advantages in the company are the possibility of unlimited transportation and the absence of the need for an additional room - the system can be installed and operated outdoors, without the risk of failure. The solution is optimal for companies whose branches are located at a considerable distance from each other.

According to the press service of the SEZ "Technopolice Moscow," whose resident is the company "Radioline," the list of types of antennas, the measurement of which is difficult to carry out by other methods, is constantly growing: 5G base stations, IoT sensors, large antennas with a small gain and some digital antenna arrays. Such systems are called CATR - Compact Antenna Test Range. To maintain high measurement accuracy and eliminate interference, the device is placed in an echo-free chamber that isolates external radio signals.

According to Ovchinsky, the stands for measuring the parameters of Radioline antennas by January 2024 are presented at more than 100 Russian factories, and collimator systems are on 20 of them.
