Raisecom Technology Ltd. it is founded in 1999 and is included in the top ten telecom vendors of China along with Huawei, ZTE, etc. The company specializes in the equipment for provision of services of "the last mile" on the broadband networks. It is about media converters (copper optics), converters of interfaces, inverse multiplexers, optical modems, optical multiplexers and other equipment. The company releases eight lines of products for different network applications of access. Now efforts of Raisecom are concentrated on the aspiration to make transition from traditional networks to networks of new generation (NGN) smooth and effective for operators. Using solutions of Raisecom it is possible to organize access to networks of any configuration and infrastructure: PDH/SDN, ATM, IP/Ethernet, MPLS. Devices can work both at copper cable infrastructure, and on fiber optic and also can be used for access on wireless technology. According to representatives of the company, new services can be organized also using traditional backbone networks.
Business in Russia
Raisecom is present at the market of the CIS – at Russia - since 2005. PeterStar (nowadays – MegaFon) became the first company of communication with which began to cooperate in Russia. Then signed the agreement with Komsvyaz system integrator. Therefore historically in Russia business of Raisecom concentrated in North-West Region (Moscow, St. Petersburg). In 2012 opened representation in Moscow. A part of functions which were performed earlier by partners is shifted to it. It both increase in brand recognition, and expansion of geography of presence of our equipment in the territory of Russia.
According to the developed business plan, within the first year after opening in Moscow the service center which will perform several levels of technical support is going to organize representations, to cover the main local customers and to create a partner network. Raisecom will cooperate from 10-15 by system integrators. For them the two-level system of partnership will be created. For market coverage of SMB it is going to sign the agreement with one or two large distributors in Russia.

Ethernet
Ethernet is a dominating technology of local computer networks of LAN which is widespread in city networks MAN (Metropolitan Area Networks) and global networks of WAN (Wide Area Networks). Today Ethernet is the choice of most of operators, and its development will continue thanks to the growing speeds, convergence of networks, implementation of Triple Play services and migration to networks of the next generation.
Transport networks of packet forwarding
Due to the increase of a share of data services in the total revenues of operators and operator business, traditional networks SDH/ATM cannot conform to the growing requirements for the general capacity, synchronization, interaction and limitation of the funds allocated for transport networks and access networks any more. As priorities of generation of profit are displaced towards high capacity and universal services, the most effective network developments of the next generation for corporate users and, in particular for transfer of cellular traffic 3G/LTE, there are package technologies and MPLS-TP networks.
Сarrier Ethernet
Today services on the basis of packet networks are offered by most telecommunication companies and operators. With respect thereto, implementation of new infrastructure of Ethernet of an operator class and service of the existing networks became a routine task, services of 'Triple-play over Ethernet' and 'EPL/EVPL over MPLS' also turn from marketing plans into daily services. For years of evolution of networks implementation of convergent solutions and similar standard services led to the high competition, there are only small areas in which the telecom operator can offer unique services. Instead, density of ports, capacity and the price become the most important factors in fight and implementation of new network equipment. Producers and telecom operators need to consider the potential growth of networks to avoid additional it is expensive replacement of the equipment in case of underestimation of volumes of development.
Passive optical network of EPON
Development of modern technologies in telecom industry inevitably conducts to the fact that optical fiber will and force out further copper cables at design of network infrastructure. Now, optical fiber was widely adopted at the organization of "the last mile" to end users. The Passive Optical Network technology became, perhaps, the most popular linear architecture for providing complex services of Triple Play – high-speed data transmission, video and a voice. It represents system architecture on the optical access networks of FTTB/FTTC/FTTO/FTTP/FTTN and FTTH. Thanks to the profitability and features of network infrastructure, the EPON Raisecom technology provides standard transfer of Ethernet services for "the last mile", providing bandwidth to 10 Gbit/sec. to a large number of households, room subscribers and corporate clients.
Optical networks of CWDM/DWDM
Along with satisfaction of the current customer requirements to SONET/SDH, use of the WDM technology conforming to requirements of tomorrow opens a new era when operators are able to implement benefits from a broad spectrum of new data transmission technologies. For example, standard 10G Ethernet LANPHY, incompatible with SONET/SDH networks, can be transferred within the region on full speed now, without preventing operation of already installed devices. Besides, paid video services in real time, for example SDI, DVB-ASI, HDTV it is possible to offer broader customer base on acceptable rates. The product family of Raisecom WDM allows telecom operators to minimize costs for deployment of the fixed networks on the basis of optical fiber and also, as much as possible to increase potential profit.
Network management system
The network management system is intended for fast and effective management and identification of problems in networks of operators at the system level. As suppliers of telecommunication equipment are integrated into an access network, Raisecom offers a network management system which is capable to manage not only all devices made by Raisecom, but also devices of other suppliers. It provides convenience to customers during the monitoring and management.
History
2012
- On February 28, 2012 the Chinese company Raisecom announced opening of representation in Moscow. Raisecom was founded in 1999, it specializes in development and equipment manufacturing for provision of services of access of Carrier Ethernet and network solutions of end-no-end. Total sales of the company in 2011 were 250 million dollars. The number of staff of representation is still small, only eleven people. The staff will be increased over time. Already now based on representation it is organized by a demo laboratory which gives to customers an opportunity to test Raisecom products on the, really operating networks. Here training of customer representatives is provided. The development plan for 2012 is aimed at quick start of work of representation and an output of Raisecom in leading equipment suppliers and solutions of access in the market of Russia. Big growth of business in terms of money – more than is planned for tens of percent. In Russia and the CIS Raisecom has three partners – system integrators. It is the Moscow company "Sotel", and two companies from St. Petersburg – Komsvyaz and Dealer.
- Raisecom is glad to announce completion of successful testing of a new series of the products Carrier Ethernet ISCOM RAX7xx in MPLS networks. Testing was intended to estimate exclusive qualities of the innovation product, its performance and also to declare determination applications in national projects of China. Testing was held by WLLC Communication laboratory (People's Republic of China), from August 23 to September 3, 2012. The research center WLLC has reputation of one of the most authoritative institutes in China occupied in the field of network testing of telecommunication products. Network testing took place on obligatory compliance to OSPF protocols (Open Shortest Path), compliance of the dynamic routing based on technology of tracking of channel status (link-state technology), regulations of security and electric protocols. For official sale and application on networks of China all made equipment of vendors should correspond to the OSPF protocols. Raisecom products successfully passed all stated tests and requirements for work for networks. Raisecom also participated in additional tests for work of the scenarios MPLS, L2/L3 forwarding, routing capacity, L2VPN and RSVP. During testing by WLLC laboratory the high functionality of L2/L3 forwarding for the product Raisecom was mentioned. During the MPLS, L2VPN and RSVP tests, the main difficulties represented inconstancy of work or incomplete implementation of functionality with the tested products of other producers. Raisecom, thanks to wide experience of tests and certifications for international markets, showed excellent results.
- The ISCOM RAX711 device from a series of the demarcation products Raisecom Carrier Ethernet received an award "The best solution for testing and measurement of Carrier Ethernet", thereby the company once again confirmed a rank of the leader in providing the innovation with the TV set of services, high-quality products and monitoring of performance of work. The award of Carrier Ethernet is carried out by the IIR and MEF agencies which are annually conducting a mussel gained authority and recognition among the international operators and producers an equipment telecom. In it, 2012 at a panel of judges there were representatives of Infonetics, Informa and Ovum, telecom operators of Brazil Oi, Colt, NTT, Telecom Malaysia. Raisecom was the only thing the producer allowed to tender from China. The known manufacturing companies Cisco, Alcatel-Lucent, Oracle, Ciena, Accedian, Transmode, RAD, MRV, Omnitron, Symmetricom, ADVA, EXFO, CYAN and BTI took part in tender of solutions. Among all categories, an award "The best solution for testing and measurement of Carrier Ethernet" is awarded the companies whose product most precisely satisfies work of Carrier Ethernet networks in actual practice and guarantees to operators transmission band width for a large number of users. As the economic component is fundamental for operators upon transition of services of network to Carrier Ethernet, it is undoubtedly important the solution Raisecom to possess information on the ready and already tested solution. Proposes a convenient set of services, such as automonitoring, the test of activity, with a basis on Y.1564 protocol and also interfaces of statistics of performance. The solution also does possible work of L2 VPN services with SLA; at their use operators have smaller operating costs of networks, are better informed on requirements and wishes of users and provided with correctly picked up strategy for customers and their future business. Thanks to SLA, the solution creates the ideal platform for the customer as it allows to exercise control in real time and to visualize key performance indicators.
