2024: Rosneft and Reliance strike biggest ever Indian-Russian oil deal
In December 2024, Rosneft and Reliance entered into the largest ever Indian-Russian oil supply deal, Bloomberg sources said.
Rosneft will supply 500,000 barrels per day of various grades of oil.
The largest energy deal in history at $13 billion a year at current prices. Prices and volumes will be revised annually, sources say.
The agreement strengthens India-Russia energy ties. Both countries benefit amid Western sanctions against Russia.
2021: Defeat in dispute with Amazon over Future Retail purchase

2020: Google's $4.5 billion sale plan for 7.7% of Jio Platforms
Indian Reliance Industries announced on July 15, 2020 that Google will acquire a 7.7% stake in its digital division Jio Platforms for $4.5 billion, with the aim of producing budget smartphones for the poor in India.
Google and Jio Platforms have signed a commercial agreement to jointly develop a low-cost smartphone for Android operating systems.
Taking into account Google's investments, strategic and financial investors have invested $1.52 trillion rupees ($20.22 billion) in Jio over the past few months, Reliance chairman Mukesh Ambani said at the company's annual shareholder meeting, which was held online.
Jio Platforms includes applications for listening to music and watching movies, but its main component is the telecommunications company Jio Infocomm, the largest mobile operator in India with more than 387 million subscribers.
Facebook in April acquired a 10% stake in Jio for $5.7 billion, seeking to use its popular WhatsApp messenger to provide a digital payment service to small grocery stores in India.
