Renovis Surgical Technologies develops and delivers implants for a backbone, a hip, a knee and other joints. Products of the company include endoprostheses of a femoral joint, conic beztsementny endoprostheses of a hip, polyethylene atsetabulyarny inserts with high degree of a stitching and ceramic heads; lock inserts for endoprostheses of a knee joint; kanyulirovanny screw systems and systems of external fixers, etc. The company was founded in 2009 and the State of California is based in Redlendsa. 2019: Kyocera purchased Renovis Surgical
At the beginning of January, 2019 the Japanese company Kyocera announced acquisition of capital assets of Renovis Surgical Technologies, producer of implants for a backbone and a hip, for the purpose of expansion of the market in the USA. The cost of the transaction does not reveal.
In March, 2019 Kyocera will transfer the purchased assets in the new subsidiary company under the name Kyocera Medical Technologies which is based in California. Kyocera makes medical products, including endoprostheses of joints and tooth implants, generally for the Japanese market. Renovis develops and makes implants for the orthopedic and neurologic market and also for traumatologic surgery. The company actively uses 3D - printing using titanic additives for production of implants and also developed advanced technology of a reference surface for endoprostheses.
The new company Kyocera Medical Technologies will use own technologies of Kyocera and technology purchased at Renovis for new product development, Kyocera reports. The parent company, in addition to medical products, makes parts for use in automotive industry, electronic devices, solar power plants, printers and mobile phones.[1]
