2020: Attraction of $45 million investments, including from Fort Ross Ventures
At the beginning of December, 2020 Ridecell announced closing of an investment round of Series C according to the results of which the company attracted $45 million investments. Among those who invested in the developer of the platform for management of transport parks is — Fort Ross Ventures fund which invested $10 million.
After the carried-out round the principal of Fort Ross Ventures Ratan Singh will join the board of the project. The total amount of obligations in funds under control of Fort Ross Ventures is $345 million.
Solasta Ventures, Activate Capital, DENSO, LG Technology Ventures and Initialized Capital also participated in the transaction. Their shares and the amount of investments do not reveal.
According to the founder and the managing partner of Fort Ross Ventures Victor Orlovsky, fund invested in Ridecell because "the company is the leader in the fast-growing market of solutions on car-sharing automation".
This type of use of transport, both in B2B segment, and in B2C and C2C, leads to fundamental change of processes of producers of a car, operators of the fleet, users, insurance and service companies. Ridecell is the excellent company, they have a pilot team of founders and investors with excellent reputation. Ridecell said that the startup will continue to attract investments and is going to accelerate the international growth, to begin to support larger customers worldwide and to expand basic opportunities of the platform for automation and digitization of transportations.[1]
