History
2022: Ex-head of the city Ministry of Internal Affairs Igor Trifonov sentenced to 9.5 years in prison for a bribe from a bank
The Yekaterinburg court in August 2022 sentenced the former head of the city Ministry of Internal Affairs Igor Trifonov to nine and a half years in prison in a maximum security colony for receiving a bribe on an especially large scale. Trifonov was deprived of the rank of general, state awards and the right to serve in the Ministry of Internal Affairs. However, the arrest imposed earlier on Trifonov's property, the court decided to remove.
He was detained in September 2020 in Moscow and accused of receiving a bribe in the amount of 7.5 million rubles. from an ex-employee of the Ring of the Urals bank in 2015 for initiating proceedings against the debtor.
In addition to him, the ex-head of the security service of the Ring of the Urals bank Alexander Cuba and the former employee of the OEBiPK of the Ministry of Internal Affairs Denis Zhdanov were held in the same case. They were accused of mediating the transfer of bribes on an especially large scale. The court released them from liability in connection with the admission of guilt. Cuba and Zhdanov faced up to 12 years in prison.
2021
Ex-deputy chairman of the bank Oleg Konoplev sentenced to 5 years probation for a bribe to the general of the Internal Affairs Directorate
Former deputy chairman of the Ring of the Urals bank Oleg Konoplev in September 2021 was sentenced to a five-year suspended sentence for a bribe. The court found the man guilty of transferring 7.5 million rubles to the former head of the Internal Affairs Directorate of Yekaterinburg, General Igor Trifonov.
The crime was committed in 2015, when, through a subordinate of Trifonov, Konoplev gave a bribe for initiating a criminal case related to a bank loan.
The Ring of the Urals Bank gave a loan to Fores LLC 460 million rubles secured by the building. Later it turned out that the money was withdrawn for other purposes.
Closing the transaction on the sale of the Ring of the Urals to the Moscow Credit Bank for 3.9 billion rubles
In April 2021, the Rossium concern announced the amount of the transaction for the purchase of the Ring of the Urals Bank (Yekaterinburg) - 3.9 billion rubles or 0.9 capital. In December, Moscow Credit Bank, owned by Rossium, filed a petition with the FAS to acquire the Ring of the Urals (then the capital was 5.7 billion rubles), after which the bank encountered difficulties during the quarter:
- in January, Rosfinmonitoring accused Ring of the Urals Bank of illegal financial transactions with issuing a loan to repay loans from other companies;
- at the end of January, the bank is being searched in the case of a bribe to the former head of the Internal Affairs Directorate Igor Trifonov for initiating a case of theft of credit funds;
- the bank even had to publish official denials.
But the deal closed in March 2021, difficulties ceased, the bank's capital dropped to 4.3 billion rubles.
2020
Application to the FAS for the purchase of the bank "Moscow Credit Bank"
On December 2, 2020, it became known that Moscow Credit Bank (part of Roman Avdeev's Rossium concern) intends to acquire Ring of the Urals bank, part of the UMMC group .
