Rocket (formerly Raketa)

Rocket is a Ukrainian food delivery service from restaurants founded in 2018, including from the McDonalds, KFC and Mafia chains. You can also order the delivery of products from supermarkets in the application. By June 2021, Rocket couriers deliver orders in 28 cities of Ukraine, including 18 regional centers.

The user can order delivery from partner stores and meals within a radius of 2.5 km. The service offers a fixed delivery fee, regardless of the cost of the order.

History

2021: Entering the market of Greece and France

On June 23, 2021, the Rocket service announced the start of work in Greece and France. It was first launched in Athens and the city of Lille, which is the second largest agglomeration after Paris.

Given this international expansion, Rocket now operates in 5 countries and 33 cities. Previously, the service became available to residents of Nicosia and Limassol (Cyprus) and Amsterdam (Holland). By the end of 2021, it is planned to launch delivery in 10 European countries.

Initially, the service was called Raketa, but with access to the international market, it was renamed Rocket.

Ukrainian food delivery service Rocket launched in Greece and France

In most countries, the word "rocket" does not exist. Therefore, it was decided, preserving what has already been created in Ukraine, to develop in new markets. The Rocket brand will be clear around the world, and will remain recognizable here, "explained Oleg Lyubaretz, marketing director of the Rocket service.

Rocket was the first food delivery service in Ukraine to introduce the possibility of paying through the electronic wallet Apple Pay and Google Pay.

By June 2021, Rocket attracted only one external investment - from the BeeVenture fund. The funds received from him went to scale the business in Ukraine and enter the European market, as well as to improve the capabilities of the product. The volume of investments in the startup by June 2021 is not disclosed.^[1][2]
