The key position  in the group of companies is occupied by the processing company RUKARD, an independent multi-sponsor processor that provides processing services  for cards of international payment systems VISA, MasterCard, American Express, Diners Club, JCB, Union Pay (CUP), as well as processing services for local and regional bank cards. The Company serves the sponsorship programs of the MEAs of banks: URALSIB, Russian Standard, VBRR, Rosbank.

The solutions of RUKARD PC are in demand in various sectors of retail trade and services: clothing stores, sports products, perfumes, grocery chains, small wholesale enterprises, transport companies.

Among the customers who have implemented loyalty programs on RUKARD PC technology are such well-known retail chains and shopping and entertainment centers as Denim Symphony, OLANT, Gorki Shopping Center (Chelyabinsk), Zolotaya Mile Shopping Center (Nizhny Novgorod), ATEMI, gas station networks in Krasnodar, other transport companies in Ryazan.

History

2021: Revocation of license from Geobank, in which 55% belonged to Rukard

From April 2, 2021, the Bank of Russia revoked its license from the commercial bank Geobank (Moscow). According to SPARK, more than 55% of the bank belonged to Rukard LLC, among its owners - Rusoft LLC and eight individuals. More details here.

2015: A deal to acquire a majority stake in the Rukard business by a group of private investors

According to the results of the transaction, the former founders of RUKARD Group of Companies retained a share of 25%, the remaining 75% are divided between a group of private Russian investors that are not affiliated with each other. Among the key investors, among others, were Andrei Remizov and Mikhail Rodchenkov. New participants have competencies in the development of software companies, banks and investment holdings in Russia, Ukraine, Kazakhstan, as well as European countries.

The founder of Rukard Group of Companies, Yuri Koval, will continue to actively participate in the management of companies in senior positions (Chairman of the Management Board and the Board of Directors of Geobank Design Bureau, senior vice president of RUKARD PK) and as part of the Supervisory Board of the updated structure.

Until December 2015, the RUKARD Group of Companies included:

• RUKARD LLC, one of the Russian processing companies;
• RUSOFT LLC, developer and supplier of automated software solutions;
• KB Geobank (LLC), which is the operator of the nationally significant payment system REXPAY,
• and LLC PK RUKARD, specializing in the processing of loyalty programs, as well as the sale of terminal equipment with pre-installed software.

A key interest for investors is the processing company RUKARD, which, being the pioneer of the Russian banking processing market in the early 2000s, still occupies a leading position in the industry. At the moment, RUKARD is the only multi-sponsor processor in Russia, working with five sponsoring banks and providing processing services on MEAs cards to eighty-five agent banks.

Over the next two years, the new owners plan to make significant investments that will bring the products of RUKARD Group of Companies to a higher technological level. In addition, the strategic plans of investors include the entry of companies and their decisions into the foreign market. The successful achievement of this goal will be facilitated by long-term business relations with banking structures and businesses in the countries of Central and Eastern Europe.

One of the objects of investment will also be Geobank, which previously mainly played the role of a clearing house at the processing, software companies of the Group and the REXPAY payment system. The updated development concept involves the transition of Geobank to the ranks of active players in the banking services market for private and corporate clients, including classic banking services and BBO. To do this, the new team believes, the credit institution has the necessary potential.

Andrei Remizov noted: "In the coming year, we plan to double sales by preserving the existing line of products and services, which is steadily in demand among customers, optimizing business processes and modernizing the technological component. We are confident that the synergy of the deep knowledge of the new professional team in the field of IT and banking, our proven technologies for managing business projects and the base that RUKARD has developed over 15 years will bring the company to a new round of development and consolidate its place in the market leaders. Separately, it is worth noting the promotion of software solutions and processing services of PK RUKARD to the CIS and European markets, as well as the segmentation of the product line taking into account regional specifics. At the same time, it is important to take into account that the cost of these services in developed markets is significantly higher due not only to their greater demand, but also to the more active development of software solutions in general.
