RusForest is the private timber industry company working in Eastern Siberia. The head company of the RusForest group — the Swedish RusForest AB (reg. number 556694-6421). The group also has operational office in Moscow.
History
2011: Acceptance of environmental policy
In 2011 environmental policy which obliged the company to work only from a darkness with raw materials and materials was admitted to RusForest and also to work only with those methods which minimize impact on the environment. The company constantly works on the solution of environmental problems and observance of nature protection requirements which are imposed by authorities, consumers and the market.
2010: The merger agreement with Nord Timber Group
On May 24, 2010 the Rusforest AB company signed the agreement of intent about merge to the main owners of Nord Timber Group (NTG), it is stated in the message of RusForest company received by Lesprom Network. Consolidation of two companies took place by direct issue of shares of RusForest company.
Expense reduction on operating activities and management became a main objective of a company merger. Also a number of the modern technological solutions which allowed to lower production costs of products and to increase its competitiveness was implemented. The saved means were let to further development of the company.
After consolidation the RusForest company acquires the right to annually prepare more than 2 million cubic meters of wood. On total productions the holding enters in top-5 the domestic timber industry companies. Supply of wood and timber to Asia and Europe and also on domestic market become the main activity of RusForest company.[1]
