The federal state budgetary institution Russian Academy of Education (RAE) is formed in 1992 based on Academy of pedagogical sciences of the USSR (the successor of Academy of pedagogical sciences of RSFSR).[1]
The Russian joint stock company coordinates approbation of educational technologies, means and forms of the organization of training and education and also a research for the benefit of increase in pedagogical culture of the Russian society. Renders the scientific and methodical help to educational institutions and governing bodies of education in improvement of a system of training of teachers and teachers of educational, professional and highest educational institutions, in preparation and advanced training of scientific and scientific and pedagogical workers. The special direction — generalization and distribution of historical and modern experience of development of education and the pedagogical theory.
As a part of the Russian Academy of Education reorganization of scientific institutions of the former Academy of pedagogical sciences is carried out. The Russian joint stock company integrates industry departments:
- department of philosophy of education and theoretical pedagogics;
- department of psychology and age physiology;
- department of education and culture;
- department of the general secondary education;
- department of basic professional education;
- department of the higher education.
And also 5 regional departments:
- Siberian (works based on the Krasnoyarsk university);
- Northwest (based on the Russian pedagogical university in St. Petersburg);
- Southern (based on the Rostov pedagogical university);
- Central (based on Institute of pedagogical innovations and Psychological institute);
- Volga region (Kazan).
The system of the Russian Academy of Education includes institutes: theories of education and pedagogics; psychological; personal development; age physiology; correctional pedagogics; managements of education; general secondary education; secondary vocational education; vocational training; educations of adults; formations of Siberia, Far East and North; pedagogical innovations; centers: sociological education; social pedagogics; family and childhood; esthetic education; teaching Russian. The academy has institute of retraining and advanced training of scientific and pedagogical workers; experimental organizations. Work the University of the Russian Academy of Education (the former Russian open university, is founded in 1991), educational divisions at institutes, the All-Russian correspondence multisubject school (open lyceum based on the Moscow university).
