2023: Change of registration to Russian
The main owner of Russian Coal, Claverley, changed its registration from Cypriot to Russian. This became known in December 2023.
According to Interfax, citing data from the Unified State Register of Legal Entities (USRUL), the international company Limited Liability Company (MKOOO) Claverly has become a member of the register of the Special Administrative Region (SAR) on Oktyabrsky Island (Kaliningrad Region). It is specified that the MKOOO was registered on December 15, 2023 in the order of the redomication of the Cypriot Claverley Holding Limited. The head and founders of the new company in the Unified State Register of Legal Entities are not indicated. The main profile of the legal entity is the activities of holding companies.
At the end of November 2023, the president Russia Vladimir Putin allowed United Coal Company RU LLC to buy back Russian Coal shares from Claverley, which happened. Putin allowed Russian Coal, in turn, to transfer 100% of the shares of several enterprises - Amursky Ugol JSC and Krasnoyarsk Kraiugol JSC, as well as 100% of the shares in the authorized capital of Razrez Kirbinsky LLC and Omega LLC on bail. By the end of 2023, the production assets of the Russian Coal company are located in, and Amur region Khakassia. The Krasnoyarsk Territory holding includes six coal mining sections, as well as power supply, transport and repair divisions. Total in-place coal reserves of the company (category A + B + C1; S2) exceed 1.458 billion tons.
According to the list of affiliates of Russian Coal by the beginning of January 2023, Claverley Holdings Ltd had more than 99% of the company's shares, and Kilton Overseas - 0.01%. Previously, the beneficial owner of Russian Coal was Russian businessman Said-Salam Gutseriev, brother of billionaire Mikhail Gutseriev.[1]
