Annually Russian Union of Martial Arts holds hundreds of events which main objective promoting and promotion of martial arts as the most grass-roots sports movement in Russia allowing to solve not only a problem of improvement of younger generation, but also preconscription training of youth. In the integrated calendar of sporting events of the Russian Union of martial arts for 2009 it was included 531 tournaments of different level: from the championships of districts and interregional actions prior to the European championships and the World.
