2023: Launch of warranty program for printing equipment of departed brands

The Russian company SPRINT, specializing in print outsourcing services, begins to provide warranty support for printing equipment supplied to Russia for parallel imports. The warranty will apply to printers, MFPs, scanners, plotters and other equipment. Customers and partners of the company will be able to use the program. The company announced this on October 2, 2023.

Many foreign printing equipment vendors left the Russian market and ceased to fulfill their obligations under warranty and service support. The problems that have arisen can seriously affect business processes in companies using their technology. If the business is able to solve simple technical issues on its own, then the issues of supplying consumables or breaking equipment without suppliers cannot be solved.

Over the past year and a half, the situation in the printing equipment market has changed a lot and warranty service has become one of the key problems. Vendors who left the country also stopped fulfilling warranty obligations. New players in the market have just begun to build processes for providing guarantees and forming spare parts warehouses. Equipment supplied by parallel import is most often sold in Russia without warranty or with a minimum period, for example, several months. As a technology supplier, we decided to implement device maintenance rules familiar to users. The program will operate throughout the country, - commented the founder and commercial director of SPRINT Kirill Rubtsov.

SPRINT specializes in the supply of printing equipment and spares by parallel import. For all imported devices, the company provides a warranty for a period of 12 months from the date of purchase. Customers can also issue additional warranty support for a period of 12-24 months. The warranty applies to cases of factory defects. Maintenance of equipment will be carried out at the expense of its own partner network throughout Russia.

Companies will be able to declare a breakdown in single window mode. Printed devices of A4 format are diagnosed and repaired in partner service centers within 30 days. The warranty for this equipment will be maintained, including when using cartridges under its own SPRINT brand, as well as when flashing devices by SPRINT specialists.

Diagnostics and repair at the place of their installation are provided for devices of A3 format and large-format equipment. Warranty support for such equipment will be provided subject to the use of original consumables.
