National Research Saratov State University of N.G. Chernyshevsky – one of the oldest and leading scientific and education centers of Russia. History
2019: Opening of Data Science Laboratory together with Neoflex
The company "Neoflex" announced on December 24, 2019 opening together with Saratov the national research state university of N.G. Chernyshevsky Data Science Laboratory - scientific laboratory based on which the scientific training center on application studies in the field of the analysis will be created data and machine learning. Cooperation with Neoflex company will allow SGU to trace the changing requirements IT- the companies to specialists and to adjust educational programs under quickly changing market of information technologies.
Implementation of research projects in the field of Data Mining using progressive methods of artificial intelligence and machine learning (Machine Learning) and also statistical modeling (Statistics Analysis), including in the analysis of data bulks (Big Data) will become the main objective of laboratory. The area of bank risk management, including different aspects of modeling of credit risks, modeling of client behavior and also efficiency evaluation and development of the recommendatory systems for marketing campaigns will become the key fields of applied application of the developed models.
We hope that our experience in information technology field and high examination of Data Science of consultants of Neoflex in synergy will allow to solve with the teoretiko-academic knowledge base of the university large-scale RnD problems for real clients of the company – large Russian and foreign financial institutions. In particular, problems of optimization of reserves, improvements of model of a loss estimate in case of a default (LGD), creation of predictive models which would help to predeterminate signs of significant deterioration in credit quality of assets are relevant for banks. Taking into account this variety of tasks the project team of the created laboratory will study scientific and practical literature on subject, to formulate hypotheses for check and to approve the developed solutions on our these clients, – Alexey Antonov, the co-head "Technologies of Financial Markets and Risk Management" of Neoflex company told. |
For work on projects employee involvement of university, the corresponding subjects specialists is planned. The possibility of development of programs of advanced training and occupational retraining of specialists in data slicing pane and machine learning and also holding seminars and conferences will be considered in the long term. The laboratory does a serious rate on young researchers and is created as structural division of mekhaniko-mathematical faculty of university. The position of the head will be held by Candidate of Physics and Mathematics, the associate professor of computer algebra and the number theory Juliya Crous.
