In management and maintaining the Volgograd RDU there are objects of generation with a set electric power of 4161.5 MW. The largest of them are: The Volga hydroelectric power station – JSC RusHydro; The Volgograd CHPP-2 and CHPP-3, the Volga CHPP-1 and CHPP-2 - JSC YuGK-TGC-8. Also 379 transmission lines of a class of voltage of 110-800 kV, with a total length of 11734.9 km, 346 transformer substations and distributors of power plants tension 110-500kv, with a total power of transformers of 21410.6 MVA enter an electrical power complex of the Volgograd region.

Electricity production in an operational zone of the Volgograd RDU for 2010 made – 15827.443 million kWh, a power consumption – 19090.755 million kWh.
