2025: Start of Construction
Acting Governor of the Sverdlovsk Region Denis Pasler launched the construction of the gold recovery plant of the Salda Gold Ore Company (part of Polymetal). The factory is designed to process 3 million tons of ore per year and should begin work in 2029, after reaching its design capacity it will produce 4.5 tons of gold annually. This is stated in the message of Polymetal in August 2025. Investments in the project will amount to more than ₽45 billion. The company will become one of the largest mining projects in the region.[1]
