Scientific and Technical Center for Nuclear and Radiation Safety - the institution was created to obtain and apply scientific knowledge in the scientific and technical support of nuclear and radiation safety regulation, including the analysis and justification of criteria and requirements for nuclear and radiation safety when using atomic energy.
History
On February 23, 1987, the Council of Ministers of the USSR adopted Resolution No. 228 "On Measures to Improve the Efficiency and Strengthen Supervision of Safety in Nuclear power," which approved the Regulation on the USSR State Committee for Supervision of Safe Work in Nuclear power (USSR Gosatomenergonadzor).
In accordance with the decree of the Council of Ministers of the USSR of February 23, 1987 No. 228, the USSR Gosatomenergonadzor issued an order of May 12, 1987 No. 58 "On the creation of a Scientific and Technical Center for Safety in Nuclear power under the USSR Gosatomenergonadzor."
By order of Rostekhnadzor dated October 28, 2010 No. 1021 "On approval of the list of federal budgetary institutions subordinate to the Federal Service for Environmental, Technological and Nuclear Supervision and its submission to the Federal Treasury," the Federal State Institution "Scientific and Technical Center for Nuclear and Radiation Safety" is included in the list of federal budgetary institutions subordinate to Rostekhnadzor. "
By the decision of the Federal Service for Environmental, Technological and Nuclear Supervision of June 10, 2013, FBU NTC YARB was assigned to the organization of scientific and technical support for Rostekhnadzor.
