History

2018: The choice of Solar inCode for the direction on check of security of applications

The Rostelecom-Solar company, the company of group of PJSC Rostelecom, announced on September 12, 2018 expansion of the presence in international market. The company signed the delivery agreement of the solution Solar inCode in Sense of Security company, providing full range of services in information security field.

Sense of Security works at the territory of Australia, among customers of the company there are large organizations of the public, financial and telecommunication sector, the enterprise of health care and retail. The Sense of Security portfolio includes a number of services in four directions of information security — compliance to requirements of the legislation (compliance), consulting, audit and operation of means of protecting. As the main tool of the direction on check of security mobile and web applications Solar inCode — a code analyzer with the functionality allowing to check applications for errors and vulnerabilities even without access to their source code was selected.

The quantity of errors and vulnerabilities in the code which Solar inCode is capable to reveal impresses. At the same time the solution shows low interest of false operations, and reports on the found vulnerabilities can be made according to classifications of CWE/SANS Top 25, OWASP Mobile Top 10 2016, OWASP Top 10 2017, PCI DSS and HIPAA. Besides, using Solar inCode, we can book audit mobile applications even without access to the source code that is very relevant in cases when it is necessary to book audit of security of legacy software. Usually in that case check is limited only to dynamic analysis. But without static analysis many vulnerabilities difficult or cannot be found. Solar inCode is the scanner of a program code mobile and web applications on existence of vulnerabilities and not declared opportunities. Promotion of the solution in international market began in 2017. For September, 2018 Solar inCode is used in the companies of regions of EMEA and APAC.
