A large-scale program for the development of the Sheregesh ski resort in the Kemerovo region provides for the investment of more than ₽209 billion private investments by 2035. This became known in early October 2024 during the presentation of the resort development strategy.
According to TASS, the head of the resort's directorate, Alexei Stoyanov, presented a detailed investment plan for Sheregesh. According to the announced information, the volume of private investments in 2022 amounted to ₽1,7 billion, by 2024 it increased to ₽7,8 billion, and by 2035 it is planned to reach more than two hundred billion rubles.
Sheregesh's development strategy sets an ambitious goal - the resort's entry into the top five world-class ski resorts by 2035. To achieve this goal, a significant infrastructure expansion is planned.
More than 60 km of highways operate on the territory of the resort. By 2035, it is planned to increase their length to 345 km. In parallel, work is underway to develop transport and communal infrastructure, including gasification of the territory.
Alexey Stoyanov noted that the implementation of the investment program will create 13.5 thousand new jobs by 2035. It is expected that the tourist flow will increase to 3.4 million overnight stays per year, and the number of accommodation places will grow to 35 thousand.
