Production

"The SIBUR Tobolsk" performs acceptance and processing of long fraction of light hydrocarbons which arrives on the enterprise for a product line from the West Siberian gas processing plants of the SIBUR. Further on gas-fractionation installation raw materials are separated into separate fractions: propane, butane, isobutane, etc. After that liquefied petroleum gases and monomers — butadiene and isobutylene, arrive on the petrochemical enterprises of the SIBUR. Isobutylene is also used "the SIBUR by Tobolsk" for development of methyl-rubs-butyl air.

Butadiene and isobutylene are initial monomers for development of synthetic rubbers which, in turn, are used for production of rubbers. Methyl-rubs-butyl air serves as an oxygencontaining, high-octane component when receiving unleaded, environmentally friendly gasolines.

History

2016: Renaming in "the SIBUR Tobolsk"

Tobolsk-Neftekhim LLC is renamed into SIBUR Tobolsk LLC.

2014: Start of the world's largest gas-fractionation installations

On June 4, 2014 the second queue of gas-fractionation unit for processing of the long fraction of light hydrocarbons (LFLH) is brought into operation. The project on increase in power of the operating gas-fractionation installation from 3 million tons per year to 3.8 million tons per year was at the same time implemented. Thus, the total power of gas-fractionation installations was 6.6 million tons per year and is the world's largest.

2012: V. Anokhin releases L. Zhernakov from the CEO's duty

In August, 2012 the CEO of the company Leonid Zhernakov retired. Vladimir Anokhin who was earlier holding a position of the First Deputy CEO – the chief engineer is appointed the director. In turn, Gennady Savin held a position of the First Deputy CEO – the chief engineer.

2011

For 2011 production capacities of Tobolsk-Neftekhim include the 3 million t central gas-fractionation installation of liquefied gases in a year, production of monomers for development of synthetic rubbers — butadiene (197 thousand tons a year) and isobutylene of 83 thousand tons a year) and also production of methyl-rubs-butyl air - 120 thousand tons a year.

In a corporate structure of the SIBUR Tobolsk-Neftekhim is a part of directorate of a hydrocarbonic raw material which is headed by the vice president Mikhail Karisalov.

2010: Start of works of the second queue on creation of unit for processing (ShFLU)

In August, 2010 the investment committee of the SIBUR made the decision on the beginning of project works within project implementation on building of the second queue of gas-fractionation unit for processing of the 2.8 million tons long fraction of light hydrocarbons (LFLH) in a year.

2001: Renaming into Tobolsk-Neftekhim

Tobolsk Petrochemical Industrial Complex is re-registered as Tobolsk-Neftekhim.

1999: Entry into the structure of Sibur

In 1999 entry of Tobolsk Petrochemical Industrial Complex into the structure of the SIBUR took place. Loading of capacities was recovered.

Project development of building of new production of polypropylene and reconstruction of a product line 1000 km long began. Construction of the pump station increasing product line performance was in parallel started.

In the 1990s with big delays were put into operation of production of isobutylene and methyl-trebutilovogo of air of MTBE.

1990: Freezing of the project on butyl - and galobutilkauchuk

Freezing of the project on production filled with rubble - and galobutilkauchuk. The enterprise faced a raw materials underdelivery, low loading of process systems, wear of fixed assets for 70%.

1988: Filled with rubble the beginning of building of production - and galobutilkauchuk

Filled with rubble the beginning of building of production - and the 90 thousand tons per year galobutilkauchuk.

1987: Start of unit for production of butadiene

In 1987 at the enterprise were put into operation of unit for production of butadiene with a productive power of 180 thousand tons a year.

1984: Start of the central gas-fractionation installation

Start of the central gas-fractionation installation on Tobolsk Petrochemical Industrial Complex took place in 1984. New production required attraction of a number of qualified specialists which began to come to plant from the whole country. Literally for several years the population of Tobolsk grew more than twice — from 46 thousand to 110 thousand human. Tobolsk Petrochemical Industrial Complex acquired the status of the city-forming enterprise.

1975: Beginning of construction of plant

The history "SIBUR of Tobolsk" began in the 1970th years. At that time the state decided to implement the project on construction of the enterprise, largest in the country, for complex deep processing of a hydrocarbonic raw material from fields of Western Siberia. The project was large-scale: in addition to production of monomers, in the territory of the Tyumen region construction of capacities for production of synthetic rubbers, large oil refinery, plant on production of plastic and consumer goods was supposed.

In 1974 in 6 km from Tobolsk the platform under construction of plant was selected, and since 1975 60 design institutes started development of the project documentation. Along with construction of a number of petrochemical productions also all surrounding infrastructure was under construction. It was created on the latest technologies which sometimes do not have analogs in the country.
