Biography

Leonid Evgenyevich Zhernakov was born on March 9, 1946 in of Zhernakovo of the Tyumen region.

"The village in which I was born once was called Plyukhino. Then it was renamed into Zhernakovo. Much there lived people with such surname – both relatives, and namesakes … Grew without father … Lived difficult. Worked. Studied at rural school where on four classes there was one teacher – Vedernikova Valentina Matveevna. It gave us all objects, and the aunt Nyura – the cleaner worked out", - Leonid Zhernakov remembered later in 2011.

Went to the fifth class already in Yalutorovsk where lived absolutely independently, lodging at the same time. And already in the ninth made the decision – to enter the Omsk nautical school.

"With submission of documents there I was late. The decision should be made quickly and I, instinctively it is rather, entered school No. 20 at the plant of synthetic rubbers to receive profession of the bureaucrat. Also received".

Graduated in 1981 from the Moscow technology All-Union correspondence institute of textile and light industry as "chemical engineer-technologist".

From 1987 to 2000 Leonid Zhernakov consistently held positions of the chief engineer of the plant of butadiene, the chief of production and sales department, the deputy technical director of JSC Tobolsky NHK.

"It was interesting. New plant, modern equipment … Building went to end, and on our shoulders start-up adjustment process laid down. On May 12, 1987 I arrived, and the fifteenth already came to work as the chief engineer of the Butadiene plant. I will tell fairly that after the equipment on the Omsk es local operator at first forced me … to become thoughtful. Electronics latest for those times – nothing similar to pneumatics with which we worked in Omsk. But, nothing – began to work, understand. Simpler and simpler it appeared, than on the former place and^[1] more conveniently"^[1].

In 2000 - 2001 worked as the deputy technical director, the chief engineer of the Tobolsk NHK – Sibur Tyumen branch of JSC.

From 2001 to 2006 was the chief engineer, the First Deputy CEO – the chief engineer of Tobolsk-Neftekhim LLC.

In 2006 it is appointed the chief engineer of Tobolsk-Polimer LLC. In the same 2006 it is appointed the CEO of Tobolsk-Neftekhim LLC.

In August, 2012 Leonid Zhernakov retired. Vladimir Anokhin who was earlier holding a position of the First Deputy CEO – the chief engineer is appointed the director.

The chairman of the board of the SIBUR Dmitry Konov thanked Leonid Zhernakov for long-term fruitful work.

It is extremely important that Leonid Evgenyevich could bring up professional management team which, it is sure, will become the successor of nice history of the Tobolsk Neftekhim", - Dmitry Konov noted.

For operating time of L. Zhernakov the CEO of Tobolsk-Neftekhim at the enterprise implements a number of investment projects on expansion of gas-fractionation capacities with bringing processing of ShFLU to the maximum capacity of 3.8 million tons per year. Building of the second queue of gas-fractionation installation is begun. Several investment projects on other productions are successfully complete. The project of construction of a complex on production of Tobolsk Polymer polypropylene in which L. Zhernakov also took active part in a position of the advisor to director general approached end.

Awards

The winner of an award of the Government of the Russian Federation, the owner of the highest corporate awards of the SIBUR is an honourable chemist of Russia, the gentleman of an award of Labour glory of the third degree. In 2012 it is recognized by the director of year according to heads of regional media as the person who had significant effect on growth of social, political and business activity of the region, formation of civil society.

In 2012 for achievement of high productive and economic rates and increase in level of social and economic development of Tobolsk and the Tyumen region the Chairman of the Tobolsk City Council Nikolay Zolnikov handed to L. Zhernakov certificates of honor of city administration and the head of the municipality.
