2023: Construction of a loading railway station and purchase of own vehicles

PJSC Simplreal"," one of the the Russian manufacturers of ceramic raw materials, switched to an autonomous cargo transportation system. To expand logistic the company's capabilities allowed construction the loading railway station and the purchase of its own. The automobile transport company announced this on September 6, 2023.

PJSC "Simpreal" is developing a corporate service program for road and railway delivery of products. Freight transportation is organized by a subsidiary, Simpreal Logistics. The company's ready-made logistics solutions for September 2023 are used by more than 90% of customers. The complex of services includes transportation by the chosen mode of transport: railway or car, as well as a guarantee of delivery times.

In 2023, the key vectors for the development of the logistics direction for the company were the complete transition to corporate vehicles and the development of a network of shipping points.

The prerequisites for the development of this direction were the growth of the manufacturer's need for transportation and the lack of carriage resource on those routes that customers usually need. In the context of sanctions and a trend for import substitution, the volume of domestic railway traffic in Russia is constantly growing. According to Russian Railways, in the period from January to July 2023, their figure exceeded 720 million tons of products.

The construction of its own railway loading point (dead end) is the most important step towards logistical sovereignty. It will allow us to quickly load, increase the volume of shipments, to a lesser extent depend on external factors. We will be able to guarantee our customers the best cost of transportation, which can be predicted for up to a year, ensure the rhythm of deliveries, timely loading and delivery of raw materials, - said the management of Simpreal.

As part of the development of a network of its own logistics points in 2023, the arrangement of a reference terminal in the city of OrskOrenburg region began. By the beginning of 2024, the project will have to provide an increase in loading potential by more than 30%.

Another significant event in 2023 for the company was the transition to its own vehicles. All transportation of raw materials is carried out exclusively by Simpreal Logistics machines. Thanks to this, the manufacturer is no longer dependent on transport service providers and can guarantee the delivery of raw materials to partners.

Our own fleet gives us the opportunity to plan logistics products without looking at the possible increase in their cost. We can safely experiment and test combined railway-motor transport schemes. This option has already been successfully tested and it can be used without problems for delivery within a radius of up to 1.5 thousand km from our production, - explained the management of the Simpreal company.

Also at the beginning of 2024, Simpreal Logistics plans to complete work on the ERP system and present customers with special software for traffic control. Earlier, the company introduced internal computer control of loading and automated cargo support. Now the function of remote tracking of goods will be available to the manufacturer's partners. Customers will be able to locate the cargo in real time, which will facilitate decision-making and business process planning processes.
