History

The Russian company SoftProm was established in 1998. The backbone of the company was the team that developed and launched the MFFB information system (Moscow Financial Futures Exchange) in 1997. In 1998, a solution was made to automate the back office by order of a couple of banks. It was a blessing in disguise. Perhaps the company would have been engaged in "custom" developments if not for a number of systemic crises in the economy. Many exchanges did not survive the introduction of the "currency corridor," and the subsequent economic crisis in August 1998 "removed" the need for banks to automate "back offices." The question arose - how to live on? Trying to deal with our own budget at the height of the crisis, we realized that the Russian market does not have inexpensive and high-quality tools for analyzing and managing budgeting at the enterprise. A strategic decision was made: to develop "import-substituting" software for a new (at that time) market segment - automation of business efficiency management, and an ambitious goal was set - not just to repeat the best foreign samples, but to surpass them in terms of functionality and quality! So the PlanDesigner was born.
