SOGAZ-Med Insurance Company JSC is one of the three largest insurance medical companies in the Russian Federation specializing in the implementation of compulsory health insurance (compulsory medical insurance). The network is part of the Sogaz insurance group. The company was formed in 1998.
SOGAZ-Med Group includes SOGAZ-Med JSC, OMSK LLC.
SOGAZ-Med operates in 7 federal districts of the Russian Federation: Central, North-West, South, Volga, Ural, Siberian, Far Eastern.

Sogaz-Med's revenue in 2020 increased by 109% compared to 2019 and amounted to 5.62 billion rubles. The head of the company Vladislav Baranov explained the rapid growth in the development of industrial medicine in connection with the pandemic. The main customers of the company's services were large organizations. At the height of the pandemic, the company deployed two hospitals in remote regions of the country to combat coronavirus, opened a medical center at the Amur Gas Processing Plant.

2022: Sale of the network of clinics "Sogaz Medicine"
On August 10, 2022, it became known about the sale of the Sogaza Medicine clinic network to top managers of Nomeko, which is a partner of the Sogaza insurance group.
As Kommersant writes with reference to the data of the Unified State Register of Legal Entities, which manages the network, on August 5, 2022, the legal entity Sogaz International Medical Center LLC (Sogaz MMC, St. Petersburg) changed its owners. The shares were distributed as follows:
25% - from Vladislav Baranov (aka General Director of Nomeko JSC); 25% - from Inga Khabalaeva (General Director of MIC Sogaz, who took over on June 30, 2022); 25% - from Stanislav Andreev (beneficiary of the companies LLC Vesta"" and LLC "Ent," engaged in real estate); 25% - at Andrei Obrezan (chief doctor of the group of clinics, former co-owner of Nomeko JSC).
Prior to that, Sogaz JSC (Moscow) held a controlling stake in the company of 51%.
The construction of a medical complex with an area of 200 thousand square meters. m in the Leningrad region. The construction of the facility should be completed next year, the medical center will be able to receive 20 thousand patients a year. It is assumed that its structure will include an oncology center, a multidisciplinary clinic, a rehabilitation and sports medicine center, and a training complex. Investments in the project are estimated at 30 billion rubles.
According to the official website, the Sogaz Medicine network is represented by six clinics, two of them are located in St. Petersburg, one center in the Leningrad Region, Gelendzhik and Tomsk, a clinic in Nizhnekamsk, and there is also a sanatorium in Sestroretsk. In addition, another multidisciplinary medical complex is being built in the Leningrad Region.
Experts interviewed by the newspaper believe that changes in the structure may be associated with sanctions pressure. On February 28, 2022, the European Union included Sogaz JSC in the corresponding list[1]

UMMC-Medicine joining Sogaz-Med
At the end of July 2021, the insurance company UMMC-Medicine joined the Sogaz-Med company. As a result of the transaction, UMMC-Medicine ceased operations in Yekaterinburg, and Sogaz-Med became the full legal successor of the company for obligations to those insured with the compulsory medical insurance policy.
