History
2023: Launch of import-substituting production of cables for satellites and submarines
The Special Design Bureau of the Cable Industry (OKB KP JSC) received a loan of 250 million rubles from the Industrial Development Fund (FRP) of the Moscow Region, thanks to which the company launched a new technology for electroplating wire. This was announced at the end of June 2022 at the Ministry of Investment, Industry and Science of the Moscow Region.
As the head of this department, Ekaterina Zinovieva, clarified, the loan was issued within the framework of the Development Projects program. The amount of 250 million rubles corresponds to almost 70% of the total amount of investments in the project, as a result of which about 20 new jobs will be created in the Mytishchi urban district, she noted. Taking into account the figures named by Zinovieva, it turns out that the expansion of production of OKB KP JSC cost more than 357 million rubles.
Wires and cables developed by OKB KP JSC are used in Russia wherever reliable operation of equipment in extreme conditions is required: from space satellites to submarines.
Borrowed funds will be invested in the purchase of equipment, its installation and commissioning. It is planned to launch production in 2025. Modernization of the process of electroplating of wire operating in production will increase productivity and increase the volume of products. This, in turn, will help reduce its cost, the Ministry of Investment, Industry and Science of the Moscow Region said.
It is noted that OKB KP JSC is also a participant in the national project "Labor Productivity." The company is actively introducing lean production practices in order to improve efficiency.[1]
