KB Stroilesbank is a small regional financial institute from the Tyumen region. The bank focuses on lending and servicing corporate clients.

Owners

As of June 2019, the bank is controlled by business partners Oleg Burlakov and Pavel Mitrofanov, former deputy Sergei Sobyanin in Tyumen. At this time, Pavel Mitrofanov is wanted by Interpol for bribes, fraud with state money and corruption.

About the bank

The bank was established in October 1993 in the form of a limited partnership. Registered by the Central Bank of the Russian Federation in July 1994. Initially, the headquarters was located in Ugrsk, Tyumen Region, the forge of the forest industry, and the main goal of the bank was to assist in the development of the forest industry. Hence the name - "Stroylesbank," which has not changed for more than 15 years of the history of the credit institution.

In 1997, the Head Office moved to the city of Sovetsky. Among the founders of the bank is the ex-head of the Soviet district and the former deputy governor of the Tyumen region Pavel Mitrofanov. The high posts of the owner were provided to Stroylesbank not only by significant customers of the district (including the Sovetsklesprom enterprise then owned by Mitrofanov), but also by access to budget accounts. In addition, Mitrofanov's patronage helped the credit institution the first in the Ural Federal District to join the Deposit Insurance System (in November 2004).

In 2008, the Central Office of Stroylesbank was located in Tyumen, where it is still located.

2019: Theft of 41 million rubles in an exchange

On July 2, 2019, in Moscow, the cashier of the exchange point stole 41 million rubles. The scam is an exchange employee in the Presnensky district. The director of the organization decided to transfer 41 million rubles to dollars. Together with the employees of the collection service of the Modern Standards Bank of Business, the man arrived at the exchange on the ground floor of a five-story building in Eliseyevsky Lane.

The cashier recalculated the money, left it at the box office and asked the client to leave the room. She explained that there is no necessary amount in dollars and the currency will be brought by order.

"The victim waited two hours, after which he tried to go to the exchange office, but the door was locked from the inside, no one answered the calls and knock," the police said.

When the director went around the building, he saw an open window of the point and an empty room. It turned out that the cashier jumped out of the window with money. The suspect was put on the wanted list.

In Eliseyevsky Lane was the office of Stroylesbank.

Bank co-owner Oleg Burlakov died in Monaco from coronavirus

The co-owner of Stroylesbank, Oleg Burlakov which ranked 177 in the list of the richest Russian businessmen, died of coronavirus COVID-19 in June 2021.

The entrepreneur died of coronavirus on June 23 in Monaco, where he lived in recent years and where he returned from Moscow not so long ago.
