Biography

Burlakov Oleg Leonidovich was born in 1949 in Novorossiysk, Krasnodar Territory, Russia.

In the USSR, Burlakov was engaged in secret military developments, RBC wrote.

1994-2007 - Chairman of the Board of Directors of Novoroscement OJSC.

2008 - acquired the Terpentin paint factory (in Bosnia and Herzegovina)[1].

2011 - signed an agreement with the Governor of the Tyumen Region Vladimir Yakushevim on the construction of the Expocenter exhibition center[2]

He took 151st place in the ranking of the Russian-language version of Forbes "The richest businessmen of Russia - 2011." Oleg Burlakov's fortune was estimated at $600 million [3].

The main assets of Oleg Burlakov are concentrated:

2012 - owner of USKK, the largest construction company in the South of Russia[4]. As of November 2013, he left the business of this enterprise.

Oleg Burlakov died at the age of 71 in the Lapino clinical hospital from the consequences of COVID-19 coronavirus on June 21.

Burlakov's fortune, which was a co-owner of Stroylesbank, owned the Terpentin paint factory and the Impulse investment and construction company, Forbes estimated his fortune at $650 million. The publication called him one of the most secretive participants in the Russian Forbes list and wrote mainly about his yacht, moving using solar energy and wind energy.

In July 2021, the prosecutor in St. Petersburg warned of the illegality of the funeral  of Oleg Burlakov without the consent of his wife or daughter. Sister Burlakova appealed to the UK and the prosecutor's office, as she considered the morgue's refusal to give her brother's body illegal. The body was given to the representatives of the widow, who, according to her sister, is going to take him to Canada and cremate "against the last will of Burlakov." The widow told RIA that she intends to organize a funeral on her own with her daughters.

The prosecutor issued an official warning to the director of the funeral company about the inadmissibility of violation of the law. "Burlakov O.V. burial... without the consent of the spouse, or daughter, as a close relative... will be a violation, which forms part of the administrative offense provided for in Article 7.1 of the Administrative Code  of the Russian Federation, and entails the imposition of an administrative fine on citizens in the amount of 5 to 10 thousand rubles; for officials - from 20 thousand to 50 thousand rubles; for legal entities - from 100 thousand to 200 thousand rubles, "it says.

Yesterday , the body of a banker from Stroylesbank Oleg Burlakov was transferred to his wife  Lyudmila and taken to Canada.
