E-government test site opened in Mordovia

On August 24, 2012, Technopark-Mordovia was opened in Saransk. The opening ceremony was attended by the Minister of Communications and Mass Communications Nikolai Nikiforov, TAdviser was informed in the press service of Technoserv, whose data center is part of the technopark.

The head of the Republic of Mordovia Vladimir Volkov said that it is planned to create 5 thousand jobs in the technopark. He expressed confidence that the opening of the technopark and the university will be an incentive for local youth.

Phase III of the development of Technopark - Administrative and economic complex with social and service infrastructure in the area of the floodplain of the Insar River. The construction of this complex is planned to be implemented in 2011-2014

It is assumed that from the moment the innovative company is included in the register of Technopark residents, it will be provided with state support in the form of leasing state property assigned to the Technopark management company on preferential terms, as well as using the Technopark service infrastructure on a preferential basis and receiving advisory, legal, marketing and other services.

Phase II of the development - Technopark Innovation and Production Complex (IPK). This complex will be created on the basis of the former A.N. Lodygin All-Union Scientific Research Institute of Light Sources

The PKI will house companies implementing projects related mainly to the development of materials and components of electronics and an elementary base for information and communication technologies, as well as optoelectronics, light sources based on LEDs, energy saving and much more. For these companies, on preferential terms, office and production space will be leased, as well as specialized experimental, diagnostic, metrological, scientific, technological and production equipment. Providing infrastructure support for the introduction of technologies to the market, generating new projects, as well as finalizing and putting into production new technologies for the specialization of the Technopark is the main task and purpose of the II site.

Also, research and development of low-filament fluorescent lamps, high-pressure discharge lamps, halogen filament lamps, light sources based on LEDs, improvement and development of the test base for electric lamps and other lighting products will be carried out here. Another calling card of Technopark Mordovia will be fiber. And in terms of its use in the cable industry, and in electronic circuits.

On the basis of the Innovation and Production Complex, a Center for the collective use of equipment will be formed, which will allow developers to quickly and inexpensively test and create prototypes.

E-Government Test Site

Another of the priority areas of work of the technology park in general and the information and computing complex in particular will be the testing and running-in of the Electronic Government programs being developed at the data center. In January 2012, as part of the visit of Russian President Dmitry Medvedev to Mordovia, the data center was examined. Representatives of the technology park took the initiative to create an interregional development and implementation center for e-government in the regions of the country on the basis of the IVC. According to a source close to the technology park, the approval of the country's leadership was received and the initiative will be implemented on the basis of the center.

Already, the IVC is working on providing electronic services to residents of Mordovia, and on its basis, subsystems such as the Safe Region and the Intelligent City are integrated into a single complex.

As part of the technopark, an information and computing complex was opened, built by Technoserv and GU Gosinform. This data center complies with Tier-IV safety requirements. According to TAdviser in the press service of Technoserv, the data center is designed to meet the needs of the technopark.

It will include the Center for Experimental Production, the Center for Design of Innovations (services for the examination of innovative solutions and certification testing of products), as well as the Engineering Center for Fiber Optics.

2011: Phase I - Information and Computing Complex (IVC), which will be located on Osipenko, 37

It is the new complex structure for hosting server and communication equipment of information technology companies and connecting to the Internet that will become one of the main components of the Mordovian Technopark. From here, information, computing and telecommunications services and resources will be provided to residents of Technopark, commercial enterprises of the Republic and Russia. The information and computing complex will also become the basis for the creation of the Electronic Government of Mordovia.

The largest companies managing Internet resources are already showing interest in the project. Dozens of developers of large-scale Internet projects, actively developing online games, large domestic and foreign companies are ready to use the services of the DATA Center. The DATA Center system is global and integrated worldwide.

In the first quarter of 2011, the Information and Computing Complex will be commissioned. Then the recruitment of residents will begin, who will be given jobs to adjust their ideas in the field of information technology to mass production.
