History
2019: Zebra Technologies purchased Temptim
At the end of January, 2019 Zebra Technologies announced Temptime purchase to strengthen IoT-business in the field of health care. The companies did not begin to open a financial component of the agreement.
It is going to close the transaction in the first quarter 2019. After this Zebra will include Temptime technologies in the concept of Enterprise Asset Intelligence which the company uses to give to the clients complete idea of each aspect of their business in the environment of Internet of Things.
Acquisition of Temptime promotes integration of "smart" supplies with our vision of Enterprise Asset Intelligence as now we will be able to turn on monitoring of temperature — the CEO of Zebra Anders Gustafsson says. — We have a unique opportunity deeper to implement this technology in the industry of health care and to use it in other key features, such as security of foodstuff which will become better thanks to transparency of transactions. |
The president and the CEO of Temptime Renaat Van den Hooff reported that the company is going to improve the technologies — from visual to digital temperature indicators — as a part of Zebra. Van den Hooff will remain in the company.[1]
