2019: Creation of the company

On June 13, 2019 AB InBev announced creation of cyberdivision of The Beer Tech thanks to which the brewing giant intends to be protected from the hacker attacks.

The cybersecurity structure of AB InBev is started in Israel — the country which is considered one of leaders regarding development of cyber security. In this state a set of the large IT companies opened own development centers.

The AB InBev company began to recruit employees in The Beer Tech in March, 2019. By June 20 people work there. Growth of the state up to 100 people depending on the developed technologies is in the future allowed.

The division of AB InBev opened in Tel Aviv was engaged in the analysis of threats and potential attacks. Expansion of fields of work and development of technologies for agro-industrial complex, production of food and "the Industries 4.0" is in the future planned.

According to the vice president of AB InBev for global architecture and security Luis Veronesi, "with growth of digitalization it is necessary to be ready to be protected from everything that occurs".

AB InBev also has in Israel a research and development center which is started after absorption of a local startup of WeissBeerger. That develops tools for job analysis of bars and habits of their visitors. By June, 2019 in R&D-центре 100 people work. Besides, AB InBev started R&D-центры, concentrated on information security, in Silicon Valley and Bangalore earlier.

Luís Veronezi says that AB InBev cooperates with the Israeli companies several years. In particular, the holding uses services of five cybersecurity companies and conducts negotiations with eight. The top manager emphasized that global business of AB InBev requires various solutions to different aspects, such as business intelligence, cyber defense from hackers and a problem of confidentiality.[1]
