2022: A drunk truck driver rammed an ambulance. Doctors died
On December 14, 2022, a traffic accident involving an ambulance occurred on the Tomsk-Mariinsk highway - a KamAZ dump truck crashed into it. As a result, four doctors were killed, the truck driver was hospitalized.
The administration of the Tomsk region named the names of the victims. These are Alla Karmanova, deputy head physician of the regional perinatal center for obstetric and gynecological care, the chief freelance specialist of the health department of the Tomsk region for anesthesiology-resuscitation in obstetrics and gynecology, the head of the department of anesthesiology-resuscitation Yuri Bochkov, nurse Natalya Ivanova and driver Mikhail Krinitsyn.

According to preliminary data, the truck driver was moving from the side of the village of Turuntaevo, the ambulance was traveling from Tomsk to the city of Asino. According to Izvestia, the ambulance was sent to help the woman in labor. After the impact, there was a fire.
Investigators found out that the accused did not have a driver's license, and he stole KamAZ. Moreover, the examination showed the presence of alcohol in the blood. On December 16, 2022, truck drivers were sent to a pre-trial detention center for 2 months.[1]
