History
1905: Creation of the company
In 1905 the Trelleborgs Gummifabriks AB company is established. Under control of Henry Danker it quickly becomes the leading Scandinavian company on production of rubber products which main products are bicycle and car tires, industrial industrial rubber products and raincoats.
1914
World War I contributes to the industrial and commercial development of the company. The satisfaction of needs of armed forces of Sweden becomes priority activity of the plant on production of industrial rubber products.
1930
Development of the motor transport soon leads to the fact that production of buses becomes the largest activity of the company. Also significant increase in production of inflatable products for rest, such as rubber rings, air mattresses and rubber boats is observed.
1939
World War II involves production reorganization for the purpose of satisfaction of needs of the front and leads to new economic recovery.
1950
Internationalization begins. At first there is a formation of world agency network, then private trade enterprises abroad join it. The first-ever winter buses and the Europe's first tubeless buses are put in production.
1962
Henry Danker died at the age of 92 years, having left the status to several funds and the organizations which control the majority of voting shares of the company now.
1970
The share of industrial industrial rubber products in total sales steadily grows. In 1975 there is a gradual decrease in production volumes of buses for passenger and trucks because of expensive transition to production of buses of radial type, overproduction and price regulation. Production of bicycle buses is also gradually reduced.
1983
The period of rapid growth begins. From the company which is engaged in production only of industrial rubber products, Trelleborg Gummifabriks AB turns into the international conglomerate with twentyfold increase in production which primary activity is mineral extraction and processing of metals, and production of industrial rubber products and products from plastic takes only the third place.
1991
The situation sharply changes. Economic conditions worsen, the prices of metals sharply fall that leads to disorder of the Swedish construction market. The long-term program of rationalization of production is developed and implemented and also financing of a considerable part of productions stops.
1994
The logo is complemented with three planimetric triangles which symbolize expansion of Group. Today they are also of four basic value of the Trelleborg Group - focus on the consumer, efficiency, innovations and responsibility.
1995
The company has no debts, and to it prospects of new investments are offered. Now the main attention is paid to production of industrial rubber products which volume promptly grows due to acquisition and merger of other companies.

2000
After the beginning of accomplishment of the new strategic program, the Group is divided into three sectors: Industry, Distribution and Miscellaneous. Reduction of the most part of the sector the Miscellaneous and sectors Distribution for 51 percent was the next step. All activity was concentrated on the industrial sector which continued to extend due to absorption. By the end of 2000 the sales volume of Group reached 13.7 billion Swedish kronur, and the number of employees was about 12.400 people.
2003
Merger of division of Smiths Group Plc making high-precision consolidations laid the foundation for activity "Trelleborg - Sealing solutions". The sales volume of the Trelleborg Group grew by 5.5 billion Swedish kronur, the number of employees - on 6.000 people, mainly in Europe and North America.
2005
The Trelleborg group notes the century. Reduction of the sector Distribution is complete. Growth of the industrial sector was result, mainly, of merger of the British companies: anti-vibration division of Invensys, production of automobile Laird Group component parts and divisions of Smiths Group Plc making high-precision consolidations. Trelleborg becomes one of the largest global manufacturers of technical rubber with production approximately at 100 plants in 40 countries of the world. Sales volume exceeds 24 billion Swedish kronur, the number of employees reaches 21.700 people.
2006
The group purchases American Reeves Brothers Inc. also becomes the world leader in production of such high-precision products with a polymeric covering as offset cloths. Merger of CRP Group comes to the end that makes Trelleborg the world leader in the market of the polymeric systems and solutions for sea oil and gas production.
2008
Century of the Trelleborg brand, Group is the world's largest producer of technical rubber, sales volume exceeds 31 billion Swedish kronur, the number of employees reaches 24.000 people. Absorption of the American part of MacDermid Offset Printing Blankets strengthened leading the place of the Trelleborg Group in the field of offset cloths, multilayer composite fabrics with a polymeric covering for a commercial offset printing.
2011
The Trelleborg group represents global group, having modern knowledge and experience in area of advanced technologies of production of polymers. Production is performed approximately at 100 plants in 40 countries of the world. Trelleborg and Freudenberg companies created joint venture with equal participation of the parties for the purpose of development of anti-vibration solutions for passenger and trucks.
