2023: Opening of the Higher School of Digital Technology
The Higher School of Digital Technologies was opened on the basis of the Tyumen Industrial University (TIU). More than 360 bachelors and 70 master's students became freshmen of the university's division, on September 14, 2023, said Anton Nemkin, federal coordinator of the Digital Russia project, a member of the State Duma Committee on Information Policy.
On the basis of the Tyumen Industrial University, the Higher School of Digital Technologies has opened. It has combined seven areas of training for specialists in the field of information technology. Students will study computer science and programming, as well as such applied disciplines as databases, artificial intelligence, machine learning, administration and maintenance of information systems. At the same time, half of the educational process will be given to practice, - said Anton Nemkin. |
He added that "more than 360 freshman bachelors have already been recruited at the Higher School of Economics, of which over 200 are trained on the budget."
Andrei Lozitsky, coordinator of the Digital Russia party project in the Tyumen region, took part in the opening of this IT unit. He not only became a partner of the school, but also actively participated in the creation of competence maps for future IT specialists.
I am delighted to witness a huge event in our region - the opening of the Higher School of Digital Technology. As you know, there is a shortage of specialists on the market, and if you become a partner of this school, you can safely accept students into your project teams who are eager to become IT specialists. I think that this training format will help local companies find worthy specialists, - said the coordinator. |
The cycle is organized according to the principle of theory-practice-theory-practice. Such a hybrid model will allow future graduates to get a job at leading enterprises in the region during training. At the same time, many companies are ready to pay salaries to students, - added Andrei Sidorov. |

On December 4, 2018, Softline announced that it had signed a partnership agreement with the Tyumen Industrial University. Within the framework of the agreement, it is planned to carry out joint research and development in the field of digitalization.
The implementation of joint projects with higher educational institutions is one of the priority tasks under the cooperation agreement signed by Softline with the Government of the Tyumen Region in June 2018.
