According to Interfax, Unipro's net profit under IFRS in 2024 increased by 44.8% compared to 2023, reaching ₽31,93 billion. EBITDA grew by 11% to ₽49,11 billion.

At the same time, the company's cost of sales in 2024 increased by 6.5%, reaching ₽101,82 billion. Operating profit amounted to ₽27,74 billion against ₽23,53 billion a year earlier, showing significant growth.

Unipro's financial revenues in 2024 tripled to ₽13,04 billion, one of the most impressive growth indicators in the company's reporting.

The company's capital expenditures in 2024 amounted to ₽13,24 billion, which is slightly lower than in 2023, when they reached ₽14,19 billion. This indicates some reduction in investment activity of the energy company.

At the end of 2024, ₽27,1 billion funds were stored in Unipro's accounts. In addition, another ₽64,92 billion were reflected in the financial statements as short-term financial assets, which indicates a significant reserve of liquidity of the company.

Unipro owns five thermal power plants in Russia with a total capacity of 11.3 GW. The main shareholder of the company is the German energy holding Uniper, which owns 83.73% of Unipro. However, since April 2023, these shares have been managed by the Federal Agency for State Property Management (Rosimushchestvo).[1]

2023: Revenue growth 12.1% to 118.63 billion

On February 19, 2024, Unipro disclosed its performance for the previous year in accordance with International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS). The group's revenue in 2023 reached 118.63 billion rubles, which is 12.1% more than a year earlier. Net profit increased by 3.6% - from 21.27 billion to 22.04 billion rubles.

According to the energy holding, the company's growing revenues are associated with an increase in the volume of electricity generation by Unipro stations in 2023 relative to 2022 by 4.8%, an increase in day-ahead market prices (RSV) and competitive capacity takeoff (COM), the company said in a press release. The results are also explained by the receipt from June 2022 of payments for the capacity of the modernized power unit No. 1 of the Surgut GRES-2, as well as an increase in payments under contracts for the provision of power unit No. 3 of the Berezovskaya State District Power Plant.

It follows from Unipro's statements that in 2023 operating profit decreased to 23.53 billion rubles from 25.22 billion rubles in 2022, and EBITDA (profit before tax excluding financial income and expenses, depreciation, impairment losses on property, plant and equipment and other one-time expenses) during the same time increased by 5.7%, to 44.25 billion rubles. Profit before tax excluding financial income and expenses, impairment losses on property, plant and equipment and other one-time expenses increased by 5.3% to RUB 36.12 billion.

As of the end of 2023, the Unipro Group combines five thermal power plants with a total capacity of 11 thousand 285 MW: Surgut GRES-2 (5 thousand 687 MW), Berezovskaya GRES (2 thousand 420 MW), Shaturskaya GRES (1 thousand 500 MW), Smolensk GRES (630 MW) and Yayvinskaya GRES (1 thousand 48 MW).

In 2023, Russian President Vladimir Putin signed a decree according to which these 83.73% of Unipro shares owned by Uniper SE are transferred to the temporary management of the Federal Property Management Agency.[2]

2016

PJSC Unipro (until June 2016 - OJSC E.ON Russia) is the most efficient company in the heat generation sector in the Russian Federation. Unipro includes five thermal power plants with a total capacity of 11,145 MW: Surgut GRES-2 (5597 MW), Berezovskaya GRES (2400 MW), Shaturskaya GRES (1493 MW), Smolensk GRES (630 MW), and Yayvinskaya GRES (1025 MW).

2007

Since state registration (March 4, 2005), the company has been called OJSC 'Fourth Generating Company of the Wholesale Electricity Market' (OJSC 'OGK-4'). In June 2011, the shareholders of the company decided to change the corporate name to OJSC "E.ON Russia." The total installed capacity of "E.ON Russia" is 10,345 MW. 2005: Building a Company

OJSC "E.ON Russia" was formed in 2005 on the basis of five power plants, the company included Surgut GRES-2, Berezovskaya GRES, Shaturskaya GRES, Smolensk GRES and Yayvinskaya GRES.
