The Volsk military institute of material security trains popular specialists of food and ware services, services of fuel for all types and types of military forces of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation, different law enforcement agencies and also for foreign armies. The history of the Volsk institute is inseparably linked with the history of our Fatherland and its Armed Forces.

History

2000

In the 2000th in branch (institute) there was a training of officers, specialists of material security for Armed forces, Navy of the Ministry of Defence, internal troops of the Ministry of Internal Affairs and also Federal Border Service and other law enforcement agencies of Russia. Training was performed on several levels: specialists with the higher and secondary vocational professional education, graduateds in a military academy, students of advanced training and improvement of the military personnel and officers who are transferring to the reserve. The training center organized in 2011 (on training of junior specialists) performed and continues to perform training of soldiers today – junior specialists on logistics of Armed forces of Russia.

1998

Volsk the highest the military school of the back of a name of Lenin Komsomol of an award of the Red Star was renamed by the order of the Minister of Defence of the Russian Federation of September 16, 1998 No. 417 into branch of Military academy of the back and transport (Volsk).

1971

1971 became a considerable milestone in the history of development of the Volsk military college of the back. According to decisions of the Government "About measures for further improvement of the higher education in the country" basic high-quality changes were made to the system of preparation of the officer personnel of the Soviet Armed forces. All military colleges were reorganized into the highest for training of officers with engineering education. The order of the Minister of Defence of the USSR, directives of the General Staff and the Headquarters of the back of Armed forces No. 158/01030 since July 1, 1971. The Volsk school was transformed to the highest military college of the back of a name of Lenin Komsomol Decorated with the Order of the Red Banner with the four-year term of training.

1970

1970 anniversary year was last year in the history of school on training of officers of logistics with secondary three-year education.

1959

In December, 1959 the 1st VVATU was included by the order of the Ministry of Defence of the USSR in the structure of rocket troops, and in September, 1962 is transformed to command and technical school (VVKTU).

1951

In June, 1951 the school was transformed by the order of the Minister of Defence of the USSR to the 1st Volsk military aerotechnical college on training of officers-aeromechanics with the biennial term of training again.

1941

On February 5, 1941 the school is renamed by the order of the People's commissar of defense of the USSR into the 1st Volsk military aviation school of mechanics, training of sergeants-mechanics on operation of airplanes began.

1938

On May 13, 1938 the school was renamed by the order of NPO of the USSR No. 67 into the Volsk Military Aerotechnical College (VMAC)

1931

The Volsk joint school of pilots and aeromechanics was reorganized by the order of Revolutionary Military Council of the USSR of June 6, 1931 No. 44 and began to hereinafter be referred to as the 2nd military school of aviation technicians (the 2nd VShAT).

1928

Selection of command and political structure for future Volsk joint military school of pilots and aeromechanics begins the order of Revolutionary Military Council of the USSR No. 308 of May 24, 1928 (OVShLAT, it integrated two flight and aerotechnical schools). The divisional commander Fedor Ivanovich of ZHAROV was appointed the first chief of the revived Volsk military school. On October 8, 1928 in OVShLAT the first occupations began, and the grand opening of school was held on November 7, 1928
