2024: Peter Zhukov bought 35% of Velle

On January 18, 2024, it became known that the founder of the investment company Indigo Capital Partners Pyotr Zhukov, the son of the first vice-speaker of the State Duma Alexander Zhukov, acquired a 34.96 percent stake in Velle Holding LLC. This structure manages plant-based food manufacturer Velle. There is no information on the value of the transaction as of the specified date.

Velle was founded in 2004 by the creator of the Invite and Bystrov brands Sergey Vyadtsev. It produces analogues of milk and yogurt, as well as porridge, desserts, etc. It is claimed that products of non-dairy origin are created using a unique technology that provides for the use of high-quality raw materials. Foods are enriched with vitamins and minerals, protein and dietary fiber that "contribute to the proper functioning of the stomach and intestines."

Pyotr Zhukov acquired a 34.96 percent stake in Velle Holding LLC

In March 2020, Velle was transferred to the Cypriot Onyx Stone Holdings Ltd., in July 2023, Velle Holding, owned by Vladislav Romanovsky, became the owner of the company. After the deal with Zhukov, Romanovsky's share in the enterprise slightly exceeds 65%.

According to the Kommersant newspaper, referring to information received from Indigo Capital Partners, Velle will become part of a holding company including Frutti (produces drinks under the BeTrue brand) and other assets, which as of mid-January 2024 are under acquisition. This strategy is focused on strengthening the position in the market for the production and distribution of products, especially in the segment of healthy eating. It is noted that Pyotr Zhukov has owned 40% of Frutti since 2018. Another 35% in this company belongs to the owner of the Shokoladnitsa group of companies, Alexander Kolobov, and 25% to the former CEO of Velle, Arthur Sirakanyan.[1]
