2025: Agreement with BASEALT to train IT specialists

Voronezh State Technical University (VSTU) and BASEALT signed a cooperation agreement within the framework of the Alt Academy project. Its goal is to popularize domestic software and train highly qualified IT personnel. This was announced by "BASEALT" on October 30, 2025.

As part of the partnership, the parties agreed:

Create a digital educational environment based on the Alt Education and Alt Workstation operating systems.

Conduct consultations for VSTU teachers on the company's products.

Organize joint educational events: conferences, seminars and competitions.

To develop students and teachers' skills in operating systems of the GNU/Linux family using the example of the Alt OS.

Implement joint projects and provide the university with educational materials.

In the practical sphere, this makes it possible to actively use the BASEALT software in teaching students of the Faculty of Information Technology and Computer Security at the Department of Automated and Computing Systems. And it will allow them to get competencies in the field of software development and administration of GNU/Linux systems, which is in great demand in the labor market, "said Alexey Bredikhin, Dean of the Faculty of Information Technology and Computer Security of VSTU.

Another important stage of the partnership will be the opening of a teaching and research laboratory at the university.

Our goal is not only to tell students about Russian software and teach how to use the product, we organize joint activities in order to train IT specialists in accordance with the personnel policy of the region, who own technologies based on domestic software products and solutions. Therefore, my colleagues and I from VSTU are already planning to open an educational and research laboratory in the foreseeable future, which would become a platform for implementing student initiatives to create IT projects based on the Alt OS, "said Oksana Neshko, head of the department for work with universities" BASEALT. 2020: Opening of the training center together with Neoflex

Neoflex, a developer of IT platforms for digital business transformation, announced on November 2, 2020 the opening of a training center based on the Voronezh State Technical University. The joint initiative of the company and the management of VSTU is designed to provide high-quality training for future IT specialists and help students realize their potential.

The training center was opened on the basis of the Department of Computer Aided Design and Information Systems (SAPRIS) of the Faculty of Information Technologies and Computer Security of VSTU. During the course of the training, students will get acquainted with the Big Data and Fast Data technology stack, as well as the DevOps development methodology. The educational program of the training center will include courses on the development, testing and quality assurance of information systems, business analysis and administration of IT solutions. As a result of the training, the best students will have the opportunity to undergo an internship at Neoflex with subsequent employment.

The Collaborative Learning Center opens up opportunities for both the university and students. The training will take place with the direct participation of Neoflex specialists, and their presence and work with students in the classes are also planned. This will allow university teachers to increase their qualification level, be aware of all current technologies and update the main program of the university. Students will be able to gain access to the practical experience of Neoflex experts and the opportunity to work in the specialty in a large company. Thus, the partnership between VSTU and Neoflex in the field of IT education will allow students to realize their opportunities as much as possible, - commented Alexander Kolosov, Vice-Rector for Academic Affairs of VSTU.
