The Yamal Aviation Transport Company began operations in 1997. For 2021, it is one of the largest air carriers in the West Siberian region of Russia. The airline's gross profit fell 1.6 times to ₽696,067 million, while profit from sales fell 2.9 times to ₽258,7 million. At the same time, other revenues of the air carrier increased 2.6 times (to ₽2,199 billion), and other expenses decreased by 19.6% (to ₽1,516 billion).

As a result, the company made ₽140,124 million pre-tax profits against a ₽1,216 billion loss in 2023. This allowed the air carrier to profit at the end of 2024.

Yamal's accounts payable increased from ₽6,662 billion as of December 31, 2023 to ₽8,952 billion as of December 31, 2024, while accounts receivable decreased from ₽4,36 billion to ₽3,072 billion over the same period.

According to the reporting data, as of December 31, 2024, 100% of the shares of Yamal Aviation Transport Company JSC belong to the Department of Property Relations of the Yamalo-Nenets Autonomous Okrug (Yamalo-Nenets Autonomous Okrug).
