Owners
Zaraz is an Israeli software developer that helps improve website performance. The company claims that its platform makes any site 40% faster using one line of code, optimizing the download of third-party tools. This leads to a twofold increase in the conversion rate and an improvement in the SEO rating.
Zaraz helps by identifying all third-party tools that work "under the hood" (for example, Mixpanel or Google Analytics), and then loading them into its own internal infrastructure. This eliminates the need for the end-user browser to perform what may be dozens of scripts, thereby slowing down the entire operation of this resource.
History
2021: Cloudflare bought Zaraz
In December 2021, the American company Cloudflare announced the purchase of Zaraz, but did not disclose the cost and other terms of the transaction.
The sale of Zaraz marks the exit from the capital of the startup of the Russian Cabra VC fund Shukhrat Ibragimov, Alexei Aleksanov, Vladimir Cherepov and Yevgeny Zatepyakin. The fund invested in the project in April 2020.
Zaraz's product allows you to significantly accelerate the operation of company sites. For example, for ecomm this is critical. According to statistics, if the site loads for more than 3 seconds, up to 63% of customers decide to go in later and leave, "wrote Alexey Aleksanov, partner of the Cabra VC Foundation, on his Facebook page. |
According to him, in the case of Zaraz, the investment strategy of the Cabra VC fund worked immediately in two main areas:
- A reference point for companies that will be super attractive to strategists (which is ~ 98% of all exits from investments);
- focus on company-friendly products that reduce outflow and improve customer engagement and satisfaction.[1]
