Intermec Inc. is engaged in development and integration of the equipment, services and technologies for identification, tracking and asset management and information in supply networks. The main technologies include mobile systems of the increased durability for processing and data collection, printers of barcodes, supplies for production of labels and RFID technology. Products of the company and the services provided by it are used by clients from the different industries in many countries of the world for performance improvement, quality and the speed of commercial transactions.

The Honeywell corporation announced in October, 2013 completion of purchase of Intermec company. Honeywell expressed the intention to purchase Intermec in December, 2012. The transaction was estimated approximately at 600 million US dollars, and all amount had to be paid by cash.

The Intermec company will be a part of division of Honeywell Scanning & Mobility which is engaged in automation systems and control. Completion of the transaction was preceded by its approval by shareholders of Intermec which happened on March 19 and also obtaining necessary permissions from regulating authorities of the USA and the European Union.
