In the southern regions, in the bright sun, the moles zone must be protected with sunscreen, because this is where melanoma occurs.
Importance of early diagnosis
Melanoma is a form of malignant neoplasms, which is characterized by aggressive metastasis, and therefore 40% of patients cannot be saved. At the same time, a standard skin examination during medical examination or preventive examination allows 90% of patients to be cured.
For timely detection of melanoma, early diagnosis is important in any formation on the skin. One of the main reasons for the development of the disease is excessive ultraviolet radiation. At risk are people with fair skin and the presence of a large number of pigment spots and moles (more than 50). Do not be in the sun at the peak of its activity - from 11 to 15 hours, you need to protect the skin with clothes, sunscreen and regularly undergo examination by specialists.
It is important to know what the mole looks like, which is dangerous and can lead to skin melanoma. A common mole is a pigment spot with uniform coloration, even and symmetrical contours.
If the mole began to change its circle, color, become asymmetrical, bleeding appears - these may be signs of melanoma. If such signs are detected in yourself, it is imperative to consult a specialist doctor, it is better to start with a dermatologist who, if a malignant neoplasm is suspected, will refer the patient to an oncologist. A significant part of the risk factors for malignancies is manageable and human health largely depends on the efforts made by him.
