2018: Creation of the company for implementation of a blockchain in the industry
On May 14, 2018 it became known that the younger son of the Prosecutor General Yury Chaika — Igor Chaika — invested 400 million rubles in the National Engineering Corporation (NEC) which will be engaged in implementation of a blockchain in the industry.
80% of the new company will be received by Igor Chaika, the remained 20% — the founder of one of the largest engineering centers "ElTech SPb" Alexey Troshin who at the same time will hold a post of the director of corporation.
According to him, investments will be directed to purchases of the software and involvement of specialists. Besides, he allowed attraction of project financing from banks.
Among plans of NIK creation in Russia of the first enterprises with the systems "Industries 4.0" appears. Such projects provide end-to-end digitalization of all physical assets of the enterprises and their integration into a uniform ecosystem.
In this sphere in Russia industrial Internet of Things is one of strategic directions of Rostelecom, RBC notes. The experts polled by the edition expressed opinion that Igor Chaika's company will be able to prove in the Digital Economy state program.
Igor Chaika told the edition that NIK is not going to purchase assets in the engineering market.
We are not going to buy, but we consolidate the best personnel from the market. The frame of a command is already created — he told, having added that by May, 2018 in the company about 200 people are involved. |
The CEO of Kharitonov Capital investment company Maxim Kharitonov considers that in the Digital Economy state program there are a lot of niches where NIK will be able to prove — infrastructure, cyber security therefore it will have no problems with orders.
According to Research Firm IDC, in 2017 the size of the market of Internet of Things in Russia exceeded $4 billion[1]
