This day Robert Norton Noys — the American engineer, the inventor of the integrated circuit and the system of the interconnected transistors on a uniform silicon plate was born. Together with the colleague Gordon Moore with whom they together worked in Fairchild Semiconductor founded Intel company. Noys died in the 1990th year.
