Biography and career

Igor Agamirzyan was born on March 21, 1957. Ended a mat. - fur. faculty LIE in 1979, till 1992 worked in Academy of Sciences of the USSR, at the same time till 1995 taught in SPb the Technical University, an edging. physical. - a mat. sciences, article nauchn. sotr., associate professor.

In the 80th years it was known as the professional developer programmer, participated in large projects on development of the original software for mainframes (JEC, Algol-68, SPORA). From the middle of the 80th began to be engaged in the software for personal computers, directed development of the system of programming of ASTROFORT. In the first half of the 90th years executed a number of commercial developments for Microsoft Windows. Since 1991 - the technical director of the company AstroSoft, in 1993 began to cooperate with Microsoft, since 1995 is a salaried employee of Microsoft Consulting Services. From the moment of opening in 1996 headed the Russian office of MCS. In 1997 it is appointed the head of department of work with corporate customers of representative office of Microsoft corporation in Russia. Then held a position of the Director of strategy in the President's Office Microsoft in Russia and the CIS.

Since January, 2007 Agamirzyan was the CEO of the St. Petersburg development center of the software of EMC.

In April, 2009 held a position of the CEO of the Russian Venture Capital Company (RVCC). On June 29, 2016 the Board of Directors of RVC approved Igor Agamirzyan's resignation.

Igor Agamirzyan held a post of the vice president of the National research university "Higher School of Economics" (Higher School of Economics National Research University). Igor Agamirzyan is responsible for the strategy of development for a technology ecosystem of the university, building of relationship with technology business, formation of feedback mechanisms from employers for adjustment of requirements to graduates and also development of the innovation infrastructure of the Higher School of Economics National Research University and all block of activity connected with information technologies.
