Biography

Andrey Ageev graduated from the St. Petersburg state polytechnical university with the master's degree in the field of physical electronics. Also has the diploma of the Master of Business Administration of the Stockholm school of economy (Executive MBA) in the field of strategic marketing.

Took a position of the marketing vice president in the ECTACO company in the USA specializing in production of pocket translators and the software. On this post he directed a marketing activity and sales to the company in 11 countries.

After that Ageev worked as the marketing director, and later - the director of business development in Technoserv company where he was responsible for development of marketing strategy and increase in efficiency of activity in the field of marketing.

Since 2009 Andrey Ageev worked in a money transfer system and Unistream commercial bank, at first - as the sales and marketing director, and then - as the vice president for the same direction.

The area director of Western Union in Russia

In September, 2014 Western Union announced Andrey Ageev's appointment the area director in Russia. In this position he will be responsible for the Russian network Western Union numbering  more than 19,000 service points.

As the area director business development of Western Union, development of new sales channels, determination of strategy of cooperation and strengthening of partner relations and also further expansion of network of the company in Russia is among priority tasks of Ageev.

Earlier the post of the area director of Western Union in Russia was held by Mikhail Babirenko. He abandoned Western Union after 7 years of work to continue the career out of the company, representatives of Western Union told TAdviser.
