Biography
Mr. Palladin has experience in the field of high technologies both in Russia and in the international market. Aleksei Palladin joined Microsoft in August 1997. He headed regional business in Russia and other CIS countries. In 2000, Alexey was appointed to the corporate headquarters in Redmond, where he developed and implemented a number of strategic initiatives and new business areas. Mr. Palladin created one of the R&D teams at Microsoft, and the technologies it developed were successfully implemented and sold several billion copies worldwide, and the economic impact of the implementation was several hundred million dollars. The global licensing program he led showed high growth rates even in the midst of the last economic crisis.
Prior to joining Microsoft, Alexey worked as CEO of Intel Moscow. He also co-founded and led a number of startups, including helping bring technology developed in Russia to the American market.
February 14, 2011 Aleksei Palladin became Microsoft Director for Work with the Skolkovo Foundation. Alexey reports directly to Microsoft President in Russia Nikolai Pryanishnikov. In the new role, Aleksei Palladin coordinates the efforts of various divisions and teams at both Microsoft headquarters in Redmond and Russia to best ensure the implementation of plans in Skolkovo.
