Biography
Alexander Rogovoy was born on July 18, 1979 in Moscow. In 2001, he graduated from the Moscow State Law Academy. From 1998 to 2003, he dealt with legal support issues in a number of organizations.
From 2003 to 2009 he worked at MegaFon, where he went from legal adviser to head of the legal department.
In 2010, Rogovoy was appointed Deputy Director of Rostelecom's Legal Support Department, since October 2010 he served as Vice President for Legal Affairs and Corporate Development, and in January 2011 he became Vice President of the company. In June 2013, Alexander Rogovoy was appointed Executive Vice President of Rostelecom.
In the spring of 2015, RTCOM was appointed General Director of Alexander Rogovoy, who remains the executive vice president of Rostelecom. His task at the new post was to consolidate all satellite assets of the Rostelecom group of companies in order to expand the range of services provided for various categories of users. In this position, Alexander worked until April 2017. He was replaced by Ratiev Sergey.
Satellite segment services are becoming another element of Rostelecom's technological advantage. Satellite communication in a number of sparsely populated, hard-to-reach and high-latitude territories is actually the only and optimally available type of communication. Rostelecom plans to further develop and expand the range of high-tech satellite communications services. Their application will make it possible to ensure the formation of a competitive solution, including various telecommunication technologies, to provide universal access or build fragments of corporate networks of customers in remote areas, etc.
