According to the Znak.com, negotiations with Sigidaev on his transfer to work as the head of the Department of Health of the Kurgan Region were conducted for almost a year. He received a proposal for a new position immediately after the completion of the work of the consolidated detachment of doctors of the Ministry of Defense in the Trans-Urals.

According to the sources of the portal, Sigidaev stated that the only cause of the disaster with the spread of COVID-19 in the region are the local doctors themselves.

Earlier, Alexei Sigidaev headed the group of the consolidated medical detachment of the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation, which worked in the Kurgan region.
